Who is a 'Child of God'

Israel rejected God. Jesus Came down to earth in human form to be killed for the sins of mankind. That, anybody – Israelite or otherwise, who believed in Jesus as God and His sacrifice on the cross could gain the “Right” to become the children of God. The Bible says in John 1:12 'But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

Once a sinner is saved and believes in Jesus as God and His sacrifice, they are relieved from the bondage of sin. The person is cleansed. The person has also gained the “Right” to become the child of God.

The Bible says in Matthew 12:43-44, '“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. '

A sinner saved is like the house empty, swept and put in order. The Holy Spirit should then fill the House so that when the evil spirit/ sin comes back to check – it won’t find a place for itself. The Bible says You are the temple of God filled by His Spirit. This Holy Spirit is also mentioned in Ephesians 4:30: 'And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. '

The Bible also says in Romans 8:15, 'For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” '

The Holy Spirit confirms the adoption as children of the Holy God.

So, a person has to be first saved by the belief in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice and then be Water baptized as a sign of dying to sin and being restored in Jesus and finally be Spirit Baptized to be confirmed as His Child.

When you read this, if you are not saved, Believe, if you are not Baptized, Submit, if you are not spirit baptized, Ask in the name of Jesus with Faith.
