Samuel – A smooth stone at birth by Faith.

Samuel was a prophet, a priest, and the last Judge of Israel. He also ordained the first King of Israel and eventually ordained two Kings during his lifetime.

Samuel was born after a long wait for his mother, Hannah. He was a smooth stone formed in the womb of a woman who was bitter because of her barrenness. The Holy Bible says, in 1 Samuel 3:4, that the Almighty God spoke to the child Samuel. What a beginning to a powerful ministry!

Sometimes, blessings may be delayed in a Godly person's life. This delay is the process of smoothening in the works. A saved and anointed child of God should not lose faith during such delays.

I recently read a small story. It's a conversation between a dog and an elephant. The dog and the elephant become pregnant at the same time. However, the dog has already given birth multiple times, while the elephant still has not given birth even once. The dog teases the elephant, saying, "Maybe you are not pregnant." But after 22 months, a mighty elephant is born with a thud.

The elephant takes 22 months to give birth to a mighty elephant while a dog takes just 63 days to bring forth its babies. Similarly, in the life of God's children, when the wait is longer, the fruits are much more powerful. Even a smooth stone at birth, like Samuel. Ready to bring forth the mighty works of the Lord.

Faith is Key to the formation of smooth stones, that will be useful to our Lord Jesus Christ.
